Today we discussed preparing students for education after high school. We were quite distraught over all the USA data we had to consume, yet we are struggling here too. Even when our education system may be world class, we hope it was better. Our social contracts are broken and preparing kids, even with skills and their hard work, is not panning out. Schools will get blamed and we can certainly find faults but successes are not bearing fruit either. Disenchanted 20somethings who achieved and did their best are still questioning. I’m concerned ( as outlined in MacLeans) what the responses to the squeeze might be?
